Lenten Appeal

A sincere Thank You to all who supported our Annual Lenten Appeal 2017.  The amount the appeal raised for 2017 was £239843.98.  These funds have been transferred to the Bursar General for mission projects.

The funds raised in the appeal are sent to the Bursar General in Kiltegan, Ireland.  Our priests can then submit an application for funding towards projects they are involved in at grass root level.  Each year the following projects received support form funds raised in our Lenten Appeal and other donations received throughout the year.  Famine relief, ongoing awareness of HIV & Aids, Transport, Water, Education, Justice, Village Churches, Special Needs, Refugees, Orphans and Orphanages.

Thank you for your very generous response, your support helps to make a difference for the better in the lives of many people among whom our priest live and work with in Africa and South America.  Please be assured of our prayers for you and your intentions.  May God bless you and may you continue to be a blessing to others.

Parish Mission Appeals 2017

We at St. Patrick’s would like to thank most sincerely The Bishop, Priests, Religious and Laity in the Diocese of Brentwood and the Diocese of Nottingham for receiving us during the year 2016 for the Annual Mission Appeal.  We would especially like to thank all the parishes we were invited, received and blessed to visit during the year. Through our Magazine ‘Africa’ we look forward to continuing to nurture the seeds of mission sown.

In 2017 and with the blessings of Bishop Richard Moth, Bishop of Arundel and Brighton and Bishop Alan Hopes, Bishop of East Anglia, we are delighted to be visiting and making our Annual Mission Appeal in the parishes of Arundel and Brighton Diocese and East Anglia Diocese.  We look forward to meeting and making new friends as we journey around the different parishes.

Mission Days 2017

Sincere thanks to everyone who attended our weekend Mission Days throughout the month of July at Oscott College – Birmingham.  Buckfast Abbey – Devon.  Hinsley Hall – Leeds and St. Joseph’s Parish – Epsom.  For Fr. Joseph and I it was truly a delightful, enjoyable, energising, encouraging and spiritually uplifting experience meeting and chatting to each group.  I hope the experience was similar for you and that you will encourage others to join us at the 2018 Mission Days.  For those unable to join us you were as always remembered in our Mass and prayers.

Thank you for all your prayers and support and may you and your family continue to experience God’s blessings.

Fr. Patrick McCallion
